Eastern Eats – X74 Cafe & Restaurant

In our inaugural ‘Eastern Eats’ blog post, we are putting the spotlight on the local café and restaurant, X74, which has won the hearts of many locals with their ever-changing menu, great coffee and friendly open atmosphere.

X74 is situated at 10 Bream Street, Coogee and is a place where the local community and visitors can feel at home in. Customers are often returning to this café & restaurant that takes full advantage of its north facing frontage by utilising bi-fold windows and doors to allow light to pour in at all times of the day.

The core concept behind X74 is a menu that is never static and food that carries itself.

“Listening to our customers helps us create an accessible menu. The open kitchen allows genuine feedback from the customer and it’s refreshing for the chefs to see people enjoying what they create. We use fresh, local produce wherever possible and employ local industry professional,” X74 owner, Tim Hughes, said.

X74 is somewhere to gather, talk and eat at any time of the day, starting with the perfect fresh breakfast and ending with a late night cheese plate. And it isn’t going anywhere soon.

“Through our reviews in the press and by listening to our customers, we have created a flourishing business which we intend to nurture for many years to come.” Mr Hughes said.
