Family-friendly Queens Park is a small, residential suburb to the north and east of the Centennial Parklands. The area previously formed part of the suburb of Bondi Junction, but was proclaimed its own suburb in 1992. Houses on the eastern side date from the Victorian era, while those on the northern side are mostly Federation-style.

Queens Park is mostly comprised of matured and established independents, couples and families. Houses don’t go on the market for long here, with most parkside cottages selling within a few days.

The beauty of Queens Park lies in its laid-back, tree-lined streets, which make you feel a million miles away from the CBD. No other Sydney suburb this close to the CBD is so picturesque; it’s little wonder why so many families are scrambling to live here.

Queens Park is an easy walking distance to Bondi Junction’s retail hub and the station, and it’s only minutes from famous beaches such as Bondi, Bronte and Tamarama. Bondi Junction itself is a thriving and lively suburb that offers endless forms of entertainment. As Sydney’s fifth largest business district, it’s got everything you need in terms of shopping and amenities.

Nearby school options are plentiful, and includes the prestigious Ascham School for girls, where many of Sydney’s leading business figures have attended. Queens Park itself is home to Modern Orthodox Jewish Moriah College, one of Sydney’s highest-ranking schools for distinguished achievers.

The Queens Park Shed is a popular meeting point for families looking to enjoy the nearby children’s playground, and the Queens Park Shack is a fully equipped kiosk that services the popular playing fields. Offering freshly brewed Double Roasters coffee, the Shack is perfect for mums, dads and kids wanting to make the most of the Queens Park lifestyle.
